When not playing games or catching up on the latest news Chris loves to play his Guitar or head out with friends, the Australian Gamer crew, or just chilling out at home watching TV & movies. Loves his music, whether it be listening to the latest album from his favorite bands or screwing around on his guitar making bad playing sound even worse. Occasionally delves into the world of ‘reading’ but only for a few select series, if he’s not grabbed within the first few chapters then the book isn’t getting finished.

Absolutely loves doing the Over Indulgence Podcast with Hawky & Crow, nothing quite like sitting around talking shit whilst having a few drinks with good mates. Surprised that this has generated the reception it has but can’t wait to see where this goes, feel free to tell your friends & family!

Most memorable gaming experience?
There would be quite a few, however probably the most ‘excited’ I’ve been and as such my most memorable gaming experience would have to be back during the old glory days of WoW (we’re talking Vanilla WoW here). I remember our Guild, <Oz> had spent the better part of 4 months straight wiping week after week on Razorgore of Blackwing Lair, then finally we go in, get him down first try and proceed to one shot every boss within the rest of the instance in one night earning our Guild the honour of fastest progression (at the time) on server. Was definitely something worth remembering.

Where would you be found on a typical Friday night?
Friday nights always start off with us recording our sexy sexy podcast. Generally afterwards we will head out and hit the town, my 3 haunts consist of a Friday night at 299/Rosies (for the Metal nights)/Kaliber. Saturday is much of the same, except for 299 which then becomes a fagfest of epic proportions for Saturday night, the DJ is shit, the kids that go there are all scene fucks of whom I enjoy reaming at ever giving chance.  Rarely will I be at home on a Friday night, unless i’m sick or just plain exhausted in which case you can find me online on Aion/WoW, playing my 360 or duking out some Steam games.

Current favorite Games? And why?

  1. Super Metroid: Super Metroid (the SNES version) will always hold that special place in my heart. It was one of the first Super Nintendo games I ever played and since that first time I have played it roughly once every 3 months. It’s just such an amazing and fun game, I always try to beat my 100% Speedrun time every playthrough.
  2. Halo Series: Alot of people hate it, but what can I say? I enjoy it. I love the multiplayer aspect, as long as it is with people I know and not random loud kids, and I also genuinely like the Story. Not a stupidly rabid fanboi, but I do enjoy the game quite alot. Don’t like it? Feel free to suck my dick k :)
  3. Aion: Also only new, but since I have started playing I am in love with this game. I’m intentionally taking it slow so as that I don’t burn myself out, but for the most part I’m really really enjoying what I’ve, as yet, seen. I love how pretty every area is and that everything is just that little bit difficult (see crafting) which makes it feel like you’ve achieved something when you finally DO get what you were after. Couldn’t praise the game enough, reminds me alot of Vanilla WoW and how much fun I had back then.
  4. Darksiders: Fuck I love this game… Like I want to hump War so hard and ride the absolute fuck out of Ruin. It is so based around the exact same styles of all the Zelda games that I can’t help but love it. I’m a MASSIVE Zelda fanboi (hello incredible amount of Zelda paraphernalia & soon to be tattoo’s) and this game is incredibly reminiscent of the Series. Think Devil May Cry action mixed with Zelda layout set in post-apocalyptic Earth with massive battles between Heaven & Hell and you have Darksiders. HUMP!

There are a fuckload that deserve an honourable mention, but I just can’t be fucked talking about them at the moment!

Favorite Media (ie Movies, TV Shows, Music)?
Got a few that I need to give mention to so will break them down!

TV Shows:

  • Dragonball Z: One of the greatest Action Cartoons of all time. Fuck the people saying this is a kids show, just ask Hawky who thought the same, watch the digitally remastered uncut versions or the original japanese versions and you will see this is not for kids. Fucking amazing <333
  • Stargate SG-1: Love the show, loved it when it first came out and still love it now. Richard Dean Anderson is one of my favorite all time male actors (next to Christopher Walken), i mean seriously… He’s fucking MacGyver for christs sake!
  • Invader Zim: Pretty much anything by Jhonen Vasquez I love. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is an awesome comic and this is an awesome cartoon.
  • Firefly: Only one season, but good enough for me. Fuck I wish they had of continued this show :(
  • Dark Angel: An oldy, but loved it. One of the first Sci-Fi style shows I ever watched that was based around Earth. As in not outer space (ala Star Trek etc) but set firmly in a post apocalyptic world that was pure awesome.

Movies:

  • BASEketball: Just pure awesomeness. Trey & Matt have a knack for comedy, they get a shoutout for Cannibal! The Musical as well.
  • Serenity: The movie based on the epicness that was Firefly. Love this movie and actually saw it before I saw Firefly.
  • American History X: One of my all time favorite movies, this movie is real fucked up and Edward Norton is amazing in it.

There are others but I just can’t be fucked thinking right now :D

As an honourable mention… The Dragonball: Evolution movie can go and get royally fucked. Way to fuck up my favorite TV show Hollywood, you made an epic storyline shit by trying to Westernise it even further. Goku at school? Fuck you. Goku with an interest in women? Fuck you. Piccolo as an evil Namekian warlord of whom Goku as Ozaru is his disciple? Fuck you. You couldn’t have butchered the entire King Piccolo saga any harder if you tried, i mean seriously: Summarizing the original concept of Piccolo, it’s said the character was “thousands of years old and a very long time ago he used to be a force of good, but [he] got into a bad argument and was put into prison for 2000 years. It got him very angry, and he finds a way to escape and then tries to destroy the world.” I would much rather re-watch Dragonball: The Magic Begins over and over (it is fucking epic) since it actually resembles the Story to a degree in comparison to the butchering that was Dragonball: Evolution. Fuck you, you cunts.

Music (Bands):

  • Blink 182: One of the first albums I ever bought was Cheshire Cat at the age of 10, loved them ever since and have used Tom as a major inspiration for alot of my music etc.
  • Darkest Hour: One of my all time favorite Metal bands. Kris Norris is an amazing fucking guitarist and it’s sad that he is no longer part of the DH gravy wagon, but the band itself is still epic.
  • Between the Buried & Me: Random, so incredibly random. Little else to say about these guys except that they are really quite talented at what they do, and pull out some awesome shit in the process.
  • Misery Signals: These fuckers are amazing, seen them live so many times and will continue to do so. Another huge influence on my Guitar playing. Dance dance dancea;lkjdsfa;sdf…
  • Raised Fist: Alexander is what makes this epic Swedish Hardcore band all the better, Raised Fist isn’t about the music (in the sense of Guitar/Bass/Drums) but is ALL about his voice.
